(Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is currently the only manufacturer of high quality
electrical contacts, applicable from weak signal (for communications use) to high current (for
power use) electronic & electrical appliances.
Chugai Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. was
responsible for the breakthrough of electrical contact material, Ag-CdO by
internal oxidation method in 1955; Bimetallic rivet by cold pressure bonding
method in 1963 and the development of advanced material in Silver Tin Oxide
(Ag-Sno-Ino) and Silver Indium Oxide (Ag-Ino-Sno) in 1973
by way of internal oxidation. Our electrical contact grade of Silver Tin Oxide
material i.e. Neosilcon, patented in Japan and its patent-rights was enjoyed in
at least 10 countries worldwide. It is still widely used in numerous electrical
and electronic equipment or devices.
Today,
the Chugai group continues to develop new material and riveting technologies and
has its R&D centre in both Japan and USA. Chugai Group also maintains at
least 3 sophisticated manufacturing plants in Japan, and several subsidiary
companies in Taiwan, Malaysia and the USA.
Chugai
Malaysia also enjoys excellent export and overseas technical collaboration from
its parent company in Japan, which also provides technical support and
collaboration to its associate companies in Australia, China, India, Poland,
West Germany, Brazil and Argentina.
